Domaine Vincent Siret-Courtaud : Cuvée traditionWine produced on 8 hectares of vines planted on sandy loams. The vines are between 10 to over 65 years of age. This wine is a scrumptious Quincy. The twenty year old vines bring out the fruit and balance of the Sauvignon Blanc, while the old vines deliver up all their concentration and complexity. The wine has a brilliant, pale yellow colour. Very expressive aromas of ripe fruit can be detected on the nose. On the palate, the wine is well-balanced and complex. Here we can feel the full force of the old vines bringing forth the full expression of the terroir. A good wine with starters, it will pair nicely with a platter of seafood, fish in sauce and white meat. Domaine Vincent Siret-Courtaud : Cuvée AngelusAngelus is a wine produced in limited quantities from the domaine's oldest vines. Around 1 hectare was planted in 1945. The soil consists of sandy loam over clay gravel. This plot's yield is lower: about 40 hl / hectare. After skin maceration, Angelus is vinified and aged in oak barrels... |
...An atypical Quincy wine, its vinification in barrel adds a touch of oak to the fruit. The wine is yellow with clear gold highlights. On the nose, the wine releases a blend of citrus, honey and toasted notes. Full and powerful on the palate, and also showing great aromatic finesse. A fine wine for good food that will also improve with a few years' aging. Print out technical PDF. ChâteaumeillantDomaine Vincent Siret-Courtaud : GrisThis wine respects the "gris" wine tradition for which the Châteaumeillant appellation is famous. This is a rosé made by direct pressing of the grapes. The wine is salmon coloured. Aromas of tropical fruit, grapefruit, and vineyard peach can be found on the nose. The wine shows a great deal of volume and concentration on the palate. A pleasant wine that will be best enjoyed as an aperitif. Domaine Vincent Siret-Courtaud : RougeOur Chateaumeillant red comes from 15 to 60 year old vines. The "Cuvée Tradition" is a blend of two grape varieties that make up the appellation: Gamay (75%) and Pinot Noir (25%). The grapes are picked by hand, de-stemmed and transferred into tank on conveyor belt to minimize crushing. The duration of fermentation is determined by the year and by tastings to ensure that a fruity, harmonious, well-balanced wine is produced. On the nose, the wine reveals aromas of red fruit followed by spicier notes. Big and smooth on the palate with some fine, elegant tannin. Enjoy this wine with a platter of charcuterie. It also pairs well with veal and lamb and is great with grilled steak. |
